Blennd builds custom, award winning WordPress websites with a unique development approach that allows for a fully flexible user experience. Our themes require creative development solutions that will test your coding skills and allow you to explore new ideas and approaches. The ideal candidate must be able to build a website from the ground up using advanced programming concepts while adhering to the latest trends in web technologies to create functional, responsive, cross browser compatible experiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Build, implement and manage WordPress websites that accurately match provided design layouts through the use of custom developed themes, templates, custom functionalities and custom plugins
Manage, update & troubleshoot client websites on an ongoing basis
Build and manage websites in other CMS platforms as needed
The ability to navigate InVision, Sketch and Photoshop layouts for websites, digital advertising and other marketing collateral is required.
Digital media development including display advertising and email marketing
Assisting with technical discussions and technical decisions with other team members
Contribute to team development processes & standardization
Ensure all work is thoroughly tested before presented to the customer
Implement SEO recommendations and technical updates
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in web development
Adhere to project hours & scope requirements and timelines and tracking all time appropriately
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
3+ years experience as a Web Developer in a professional work environment
CODE SKILLS

Expert in WordPress
Creating custom WordPress themes is required
Building custom WordPress plugins is a plus
E-Commerce (Shopify & WooCommerce is a plus)
Highly Proficient with Advanced Custom Fields Plugin
Highly proficient in HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, NPM, Webpack, Gulp, Bootstrap 4, PHP, and GIT is required
Ability to work with REST APIs, Ajax and JSON
Advanced Divi experience is a plus
Ability to develop responsive websites with a mobile-first approach
Strong computer science fundamentals (Object Oriented Programming)
Experience building and maintaining E-Commerce websites with a streamlined checkout process
A track record of writing code that is clean, understandable, cross browser and cross device compatible
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

Professional level knowledge of industry standard design software and tools including Photoshop, Sketch, and Invision
Multitasking & Time Management skills a must
Highly organized with attention to detail and consistency
Ability to be a self-starter & Self-motivated with strong work ethic
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to learn and improve skills
Ability to analyze and propose solutions to problems
