Position Title: Junior Financial Services Analyst

Reports To: Director of Financial Services

Department: Financial Services

FLSA Status: Exempt/Full-Time

Job Summary: The Junior Financial Services Analyst is an individual who is responsible for overseeing the day to day activities of the Financial Aid Specialist and/or the VA Specialist and the overall process within the Financial Services Department. The Junior Financial Services Analyst is also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of both financial aid and VA information. This role will report any issues or improvement plans to the Director of Financial Services. This role will also help in the development of the financial services department within the organization.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

As a Junior Financial Services Analyst, you will:

Oversee the day to day activities of the Financial Aid Specialist and/or VA Specialist.
Responsible for providing training and support to the Financial Aid Specialist and/or VA Specialist when needed.
Ensure compliance and accurate information are provided to students.
Assist the Financial Aid Analyst with the reviewing of FA files
Assist the Financial Aid Analyst in creating Award Letters and FASApps.
Issue and maintain award letters as appropriate.
Maintain/update the certified loan report.
Assist the VA Specialist with the reviewing of files, certifying VA student’s, and ensure all reporting is completed timely.
Helps students obtain funding through various programs available.
Analyze the timing of funding of students.
Update SalesForce appropriately in the financial aid/VA section regarding funding source, etc.
Ensure the FinAid Tab and/or the Vet Info Page is being accurately updated.
Verify funding amounts and order funds as appropriate.
Participate in financial aid and/or VA meetings and events.
Responsible for overseeing the adding of new students to NSLDS transfer monitor list.
Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
Qualifications:

Salesforce experience a plus
Demonstrated results in financial aid.
Experience in VA Benefits, VA Once, current SCO
2-3 years of relevant experience in either or both Financial Aid and VA
