Insurance company in Ballantyne is looking to add a Bookkeeper to their ranks. The Bookkeeper will have several duties specific to the insurance industry, including several functions within the collateral database. The ideal candidate would have prior experience in the Insurance industry and working with collateral, though other experienced Bookkeepers will also be considered.
Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
Analyze an open portfolio of aged receivables and follow up with producers, agents or underwriters to secure payment or relevant backup for recent payments.
Assist in data entry into a collateral tracking system of new or renewal programs.
Clearance of collateral receipts from collateral tracking system.
Reconciliation of bank statements to collateral database.
Reconciliation of general ledger reports to collateral database.
Completion of Premium Audits as necessary.
Experience desired of the Bookkeeper:
2-3+ years’ experience in a bookkeeping position
2-3+ years’ experience in Insurance and/or Banking industry preferred
Accounting, finance or business degree or relevant experience
Strong familiarity with Excel and MS Access
Understanding of contractual language a plus
